Zodiac Dishie Cancer and Cancer 101

Hello friends! Welcome back for another Zodiac 101 and free dishcloth pattern for your magical kitchen! Today, we celebrate the Moon Children. The Cancers!

Cancer season begins on June 21, and goes through July 22.

The nature of Cancer is Cardinal Water, (rain and springs) and it is the first sign of the Summer Season. Cancer’s color is Yellow-Orange, and it is ruled by the Moon.

Godforms of Cancer, are Apollo the Charioteer, Mercury, and Khepera.

Tarot cards associated with the Cancer, are The Chariot, and the King of Cups. (perhaps surprisingly, the Moon card is associated with Pisces. We’ll get to that, in February. 😉 )

Cancer’s precious stone, is Amber, and her perfume is Onycha.

Cancer rules the stomach, and breasts, and it’s vegetable drug is Watercress.

Some of the plant associations of Cancer, are Lotus (and all water lilies), chickweed, honeysuckle, lemon balm, cucumbers, water betony, hyssop, and all water plants.

If your Sun is in Cancer, You are likely to be motivated by the desire to establish emotional connectedness with others. You prefer a calm and peaceful home life, and you may be more of a homebody than a party animal.

If your moon is in Cancer, You are almost guaranteed to be an Empath. You sense others feelings, and sometimes have a hard time separating other’s feelings, from your own. You are a naturally nurturing soul, and you need to be sure that you’re nurturing yourself as well. You have a tendency to try and pour from an empty cup, and that leaves feelings of inadequacy that isn’t your fault.

Please enjoy the following free pattern, for a Dishcloth or blanket square, featuring the symbol of Cancer. If you would like to offer a gratuity for my work, I am always humbled and thankful. Cashapp $loveofthedark
