Virgo Dishcloth, and Virgo 101

Welcome back friends! The season of Virgo is upon us and once again it’s time for a little celebration of Virgo and a free knitting pattern for a Virgo themed dishcloth.

Virgo season begins around August 19th and goes through the 20th of September.

The nature of Virgo is Mutable Earth (Fields), and it’s color is Yellow-Green.

The Godforms of Virgo are Isis, Nephthys, Narcissus, Adonis, and Ceres.

Virgo rules over Rituals involving Invisibility, Parthenogenesis, and Initiation.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury, and it’s precious stone is Peridot.

The perfume of Virgo is Narcissus, and it’s vegetable drug class is aphrodisiacs.

Virgo rules the abdomen and intestines.

Some of the plant associations of Virgo are Snowdrop, Narcissus, Lily, Skullcap, Fennel, Licorice, Barley, Oats, Rye, Wheat, Valerian, and Millet.

Good choices for oil or incense blends for Virgo may include Almond, Honeysuckle, Patchouli, or Peppermint.

While the Virgo Sun gets a bit of a reputation for being overly tidy and organized, the mutable nature of Virgo allows for plenty of adaptation and flexibility. These sun signs have a tendency to be gifted for the written word, and thoughtful with their spending habits. They have a tendency to be choosy with their friends and associations, and only want to spend time with people who fulfill their idea of “quality”. If you are blessed to have a Virgo best friend, you can trust that they really mean it.

If your Moon is in Virgo, it’s likely that you will have a strong interest in hygiene, health and tidiness in the home. You will have a keen attention to detail in all areas of your life, and you may have a tendency to give too much advice. You’re a great bargain hunter, and are likely an intellectual. Often, Virgo moon’s are shy or introverted.
